I downloaded the source distribution from here [1], and then performed
the following check:

$ tar -zxvf pari.tgz
$ cd pari-2.15.2
$ find  -type f -name 'pari.desc'
$ find  -type f -name '822.pm'
./src/desc/PARI/822.pm

As you can see, there is no the file pari.desc at all.
