Ideally, it should use the color set by the browser preference, but this
do not seems to be possible.

Thanks, I appreciate this.  Now it is good.  I see blue for most of the links, they turn red on mouse-over and green after being visited.  All of these are easily distinguishable to me.  (The condition is called red-green colour-blindness but there is not usually a problem distinguishing red from green.  Blue/purple and green/brown are the problems!)
