P.S.

I don't have darwin, but I noticed this because I was trying to make
'make tar' more flexible - right now it creates a fixed name
pari-2.2.6.tar.  I usually like to create daily snapshots -
pari-03-03-11.tgz, and not under pari tree, but in some other
directory.
