|RE: Using the GMP kernel in Windows|
Thanks, I was using version 2.3.2 I got last year that was not compiled with the GMP kernel. Version 2.3.4 that you pointed me to can compute x=(10^9999999-1)^2; in about 1/28 of the time that version 2.3.2 takes. -Harry -----Original Message----- From: Bill Allombert [mailto:Bill.Allombert@math.u-bordeaux1.fr] Sent: Friday, August 29, 2008 1:31 PM To: firstname.lastname@example.org Subject: Re: Using the GMP kernel in Windows On Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 11:07:11AM -0700, Harry J. As far as I remember, the binaries there http://pari.math.u-bordeaux.fr/download.html#windows are compiled with the GMP kernel, and they certainly work on XP. Cheers, Bill.
