OK, here's another test binary for OSX: Mountain Lion (10.8) or more
recent only !
<http://pari.math.u-bordeaux.fr/pub/pari/mac/gp-6415a7e-osx>
Older systems than 10.8 will presumably trigger an 'Illegal instruction'
on startup.
This one is a standalone binary from the 'master' branch, and lacks all
external packages (elldata, galdata, etc.) It won't interact in any
way with already installed versions of gp on your machine.
Just execute it on the command line in a Terminal [you might need to
give it 'execute' permission via chmod +x gp-6415a7e-osx], you should
see the familiar gp header
GP/PARI CALCULATOR Version 2.8.0 (etc.)
with readline and gmp compiled in.
If this works on all recent systems, we'll next try a PariGP.app release,
as a .dmg bundle.
Best wishes,
K.B.
