Thanks to all who replied!  So many ways ... :-)

valuation() or negative to Vec() sounds promising.  Yes the reverse too
as I almost always have a non-zero high term.  I start at x^0 so no
negative powers.

Ser() looks likely for comparing.  I'm all in rationals so would be
exact.  (Maybe complex number rationals in the future, but not yet.)
