Philippe Elbaz-Vincent provided me with the offending asm line and it might not be a compiler bug after all. Instead this seems to be an instance of 2.2.3F45, fixed with src/kernel/ix86/level0.h version 1.4, so I suppose we should backport this fix the the 2.1 branch. Cheers, Bill
