rnf.pol / rnf.polabs |
Dear all, I'd like to announce a change breaking backward-compatibility among the 'rnf' member functions, implementing number field extensions L / K in GP: 1) rnf.pol now returns the defining polynomial for L over K (used to return a defining polynomial for L over Q), to make it consistent with nf.pol and bnf.pol [ and with the libpari code ! ] 2) the new rnf.polabs now returns what rnf.pol used to provide: a defining polynomial for L over Q. The change is present in 2.6.2-beta [ to be released shortly, release candidate for 2.7 ], hence in 2.7-stable. Sorry for the inconvenience.
