[fun] pari source code age |
Hello PARI-dev, using cvs annotate I computed the ages of every line of code in PARI CVS (in src only). Unfortunately the CVS start at 1999. Here the result: pari% cvs annotate src 2>/dev/null | grep "99):"|wc year: nb of lines: % <=1999: 47104 : 28.84% 2000: 5667 : 3.47% 2001: 10354 : 6.34% 2002: 21360 : 13.08% 2003: 22193 : 13.59% 2004: 26816 : 16.41% 2005: 29824 : 18.26% total: 163318 : 100.00% Of course it should be taken with a grain of salt, a line being changed does not mean the code being fundamentally altered (whitespace change, function renamed, etc.) Cheers, Bill.
