You are right, it should be gcc.

It is a bug in PARI Configure:

modules_build="$CC -c -o %s.o $CFLAGS -I$myincludedir %s.c && $DLLD -o
%s.$DLSUFFIX $mydlldflags %s.o $myextradlldflags"

For some reason, DLLD is not defined on darwin. I hope Karim
will be able to fix that some days.
