Yes it is. pari-alpha.tgz is a symlink to unstable/pari.tgz which in turn
is a symlink to pari-2.2.4.alpha.tgz.

So there is no need to ever update the pari-alpha.tgz symlink.
The same hold for the pari.tgz link.

lrwxrwxrwx   17 Jun 10 22:02 pari-alpha.tgz -> unstable/pari.tgz
lrwxrwxrwx   13 Jun 29  1999 pari.tgz -> unix/pari.tgz
