Manuals for the functions qfauto, qfisom, qfisominit say that they compute the shortest vectors of the quadratic form internally and that can be quite slow for large forms.
In my practice, I have typically already computed the shortest vectors of the form by the time I call the said functions.
It would  then make sense to add an optional parameter to the functions to provide precomputed shortest vectors.
