Package: pari
Version: 2.8

With Windows 32-bit build (development 17953-c39f2e6)
from 28 Aug 2015, the following command always results in a segmentation fault:

bnfinit(x^3 - 87156*x^2 - 6728799*x - 456533)

Below is the full Pari/GP session output.

This is happening on a Windows 8 laptop.

The segmentation fault also happens with earlier versions of Pari.
E.g.,
GP/PARI CALCULATOR Version 2.8.0 (development 17331-2ee507e)
 i686 running mingw (ix86/GMP-5.1.3 kernel) 32-bit version
compiled: Jan 12 2015, gcc version 4.9.1 (GCC)

But with this latter version, the above example succeeds,
and the segmentation fault does not appear to happen consistently for
any specific field. But it will consistently if I run bnfinit() over
a large number of fields (20,000 to 50,000 typically).

I hope this information is useful. Please let me know if you need any
further information.

Regards,

Paul
