I encountered a situation where sumpos() overflows a clean 1.6 GB stack given a function decreasing like x^2. I have not used gdb but I suspect this is a memory leak.
> allocatemem(1600<<20)
 *** Warning: new stack size = 1677721600 (1600.000 Mbytes).
> sumpos(n=1,-log(cos(1/n)))
 *** at top-level: sumpos(n=1,-log(cos(1/n)))
 *** ^----------
*** cos: the PARI stack overflows !
current stack size: 1677721600 (1600.000 Mbytes)
[hint] you can increase GP stack with allocatemem()
*** Break loop: type 'break' to go back to GP prompt
