which is to be expected. The tan() function has poles due to cos().
The value of cos(Pi/2) depends of the realprecision. Sometimes it
is zero, sometimes it isn't. Try the following code to see this :

? for(n=1,40,default(realprecision,n);print(n" "cos(Pi/2)))
